Gong Therapy
Our co-creator Suraya specialises in Gong Therapy, also known as Music Therapy or Sound Therapy where she facilitates and augments her practice using therapeutic musical instruments mainly with Gongs alongside Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Singing Bowls and Monochord. This bespoke offering makes yoga and meditation easy, enjoyable, deeply relaxing and revitalising. It is an everyday retreat that strengthens your mind, boosts your mood, relieves stress and helps you find equilibrium.
The Benefits
Gong Therapy offers a psycho-acoustic gateway to altered states of awareness and consciousness (alpha to theta). It’s an amazing healing tool because the frequencies surpass the intellectual part of the brain and travel to the core of the nervous system activating the parasympathetic nervous system and prompting the body to heal and detoxify.
Gong Therapy may also bring about:
-
Deep Relaxation
-
Emotional Cleansing
-
Energetic Balancing
-
Physical Stimulation
-
Altered States of Consciousness
Gong Therapy is not only an auditory experience you listen to relax the mind, but a parasympathetic somatic experience that relates directly to the body’s healing.
Testimonials
"Gong Therapy sessions have always helped to Ground me - I feel enveloped in a comfortable cloud of calm and it keeps me less reactive, more mindful of myself and feel more rested, and I loved that it gave my friends and I a chance to engage in stillness. Even though we were lying stationary on the floor, the resonance and vibrations of the Gong Therapy session created peaceful waves within, and we enjoyed the tranquil sensations that earthed away all of our frustrations and anxieties." - Ahmad
"I felt a great sense of peace every time I went for Suraya's Gong Therapy sessions and loved the Music, Mantra and Essential oil blends she used. There was one particular session I attended with my mother where I felt a huge sense of gratitude and compassion which is very memorable and special." - Jessica
