La Luna, the Moon is often depicted as a symbol of the Feminine. An embodiment of the rhythm of time. A metaphor for the cycles of womanhood. And a beautiful force that can impact everything from the ocean waves to our emotions.

The Lunar calendar is still used in some traditions today, and for many modern-day moon lovers, its energy marks a deeper connection with our intuition and seasonal nature. Working with the moon gives us an opportunity to regularly check in with ourselves, validate our insights, set new intentions, and plan next steps with greater ease.

There are 4 major phases of La Luna and 4 minor phases. The major phases are: New Moon, First Quarter, Full Moon and Last Quarter. The minor phases are: Waxing Crescent, Waxing gibbous, Waning Gibbous, Waning Crescent.

You may choose to participate on all 4-week lunar journey or a weekly lunar drop in;

::: Week One :::

New + Waxing Crescent Moon Ritual to Reset + Refine

New Moon

The New Moon is a time for introspection, for envisioning what is possible and for tapping into unlimited potential. During this time, you may choose to create freely using your intuition. Signifying the beginning of the Moon cycle, the New Moon is a time to focus on your intentions and come up with new ideas. It is a great time to celebrate beginnings, to start on new projects or focus on personal growth. Like a seed being planted in the dark soil, consider this your time of germination.

Waxing Crescent Moon

Like a seedling bursting forth through the earth, the Waxing Crescent phase is a time of breakthrough. Tap into your fresh, rejuvenated energy to declare your intentions, gather information and build on your ideas. From the big picture down to the smallest details, use this time to think through your strategy and fortify your plans against the ups and downs of your journey ahead.

::: Week Two :::

First Quarter + Waxing Gibbous Moon Ritual to Act + Trust

First Quarter Moon

Also known as the Half Moon — half way between the New Moon and the Full Moon —  you may choose to reflect upon your progress during this time. As such, you may choose to recalibrate and reflect on the things that have worked for you and the things that may have been less successful. What should you continue, and what should you scale back on? Reflect on how far you have come on your journey, and consider the path ahead. Although it may seem so, nothing is ever strictly black or white.

Waxing Gibbous Moon

During this lunar phase, take time to appreciate how your efforts have begun to shine. This is actually a time of gestation, so practice patience, tie up loose ends and focus your energy inwards. When you quieten your mind, you will keenly sense the shifts and changes that are happening. Learn to recognise growth and all the ways it demands to be nurtured.

::: Week Three :::

Full + Waning Gibbous Moon Ritual to Celebrate + Receive

Full Moon

This time of the month is when energy is amplified and at its peak. Use this powerful lunar phase to spiritually cleanse yourself with a ritual bath or shower, and take the time to recharge not only your crystals but your body’s energy as well. Your intuition is strong during this time; trust it and allow your perspective to shift. Metaphorically speaking, the flower has become a fruit.

Waning Gibbous Moon

Where the waxing moon represents action, giving and doing, the waning moon represents releasing, undoing and receiving. In this way, the Waning Gibbous moon is like the harvest, and you will truly reap what you sow. Now is the time to put your energy outward, for example, by getting involved with your community. Practice paying it forward and allow yourself to receive the bounty of your efforts in due time.

::: Week Four :::

Last Quarter + Waning Crescent Moon Ritual to Breathe + Reflect

Last Quarter Moon

This lunar phase represents a transition, when everything begins the process of breaking down to nourish new life later. Not an ideal time to begin something new, use what you’ve already created to make adjustments or correct your path - or decide to let go of it completely. Similar to the First Quarter moon, use it to reflect upon how far you’ve come and identify your next direction. It is an excellent time for tying up loose ends or marking the end of projects. Consider your work done.

Waning Crescent Moon

The Waning Crescent moon is also called the “Balsamic” moon, a word that means a restorative time for healing. During this lunar phase, take the time to turn off, look inwards and meditate. Ask yourself questions that will help you to figure out what’s next. Avoid making plans during this time and focus on self-care. This will help you enter the right headspace to enter into a period of intention setting with the arrival of the New Moon in the next few days.

Each lunar phase you will receive weekly 2-hour virtual calls and downloadable Lunar Guidebook packed with sacred Ritual magic + tools + recipes for home practices such as mantras, botanical bath/shower, plant medicine, aromatherapy, sacred smoke, crystals, journaling, yoga and meditation practices curated intuitively by Suraya Sam.
