The Plant Medicine

Huachuma also known as San Pedro, The Grandfather or Trichocereus Pachanoi is ancient and it is one of the most sacred and wise consciousness from the Andes (2,000–3,000m above sea level). Inviting it into your life to work with is a big deal, even when taking smaller doses. The effects of Huachuma can be profound, and this practice can positively affect your entire life.  By connecting more deeply with yourself, you become more aware of spaces within that need healing, how you relate to and communicate with self and others, thoughts, patterns, behaviour, and so much more.

With greater awareness comes greater opportunity for change. The benefits of this practice are truly immeasurable, and it is essential to arrive at this ceremony with gratitude, reverence, openness, and trust. Gratitude and reverence for Huachuma is sacred and the powerful support it offers on our paths of healing and growth, and openness and trust for the experience ahead.

It is important to release expectation as you begin your journey. Intention is a significant part of your practice, but expectations can be constricting and limiting and we suggest releasing any that you have. Trust that when working intentionally with the medicine and committing to your practice, you always receive exactly what you need on your journey.

“Huachuma first produces drowsiness or a dreamy state and a feeling of lethargy, a slight dizziness, purging, then a great ‘vision’, a clearing of all the faculties. It produces a light numbness in the body and afterward a tranquility. And then comes detachment, a type of visual force, inclusive of all the senses including the sixth sense, the telepathic sense of transmitting oneself across time and matter like a kind of removal of one’s thought to a distant dimension.” - Suraya

Microdosing

You'll be microdosing about 10-20g of Huachuma Medicine brewed by Suraya's Huachumeros (Plant Medicine Facilitators) parents on day 4 & 5 facilitated by Suraya & her parents. An option to take on day 2 & 8. This provides a gentle, accessible, and low-risk introduction to Huachuma—while still offering huge rewards.

Macrodosing

You'll be macrodosing about 100-300g of Huachuma Medicine brewed by Suraya's Huachumeros parents on day 7 & 9 facilitated by them. This ceremony should be treated with respect and reverence as they have pave the way for a positive experience by mindfully sourcing, growing and preparing Huachuma.

Huachumeros

Huachumeros means the Plant Medicine Facilitators specifically for Huachuma. Kiki, Huachumera & Eddie, Huachumero (Suraya's parents) both facilitated Huachuma ceremonies for over 8 years now in the Sacred Valley and they have very broad understanding of thought processes and patterns. Their paths are bespoke and can be intense with each individual attending their ceremonies. Kiki offers her unique skills in ceremony channelings, personalised one-on-one bodywork healing sessions and she also helps you to address deep personal issues highlighted by Huachuma, whilst Eddie ushers you through a variety of elemental rituals and exercises to help you take an active role in their healing process.

Kiki has a deep understanding of trauma and depression, having suffered from Stage 3 breast cancer in her mid 30's and survived - she shares the wisdom and teachings that she has learned from her own healing experiences (Sufism, body, energetic work & plant medicine) and uses this as the foundation for her work.

Eddie, a local P'aqo of Yanahuara who combines the spirit of the Elements, Sacred Animals, Apus and Pachamama to create a heart-centered approach that honors your unique path of growth and spiritual evolution through the Andean medicine wheel.

"Humanity is deeply in need of healing. I truly believe that Huachuma plant medicine holds incredible potential to wake us up from the slumbering state that has us hypnotically sleepwalking towards destruction. I believe that Huachuma can help us remember the truth of who we are, our divine purpose, and the unique gifts we each are endowed with. When we heal ourselves we make it possible for everything and everyone else to heal." - Kiki
